Kari prepared at her parents’ house.

And the ceremony was held at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Medina, NY.

We traveled to the Royalton Ravine for their group and couple photos.

(where we paused for about a half hour for a storm front to pass us)

And, although there is evidence in the photo of the rain (check out his vest), I think they are made that much sweeter as a result.

This was a beautiful blessing by Joe’s dad.

And, then, they danced!!

A fun and fabulous night for all!  Thank you, Joe and Kari, for including us.  We wish you the very best marriage and family!!

Lindsay and her family are good friends of ours, so we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to photograph her wedding!

Karl and Lindsay met us in Gasport (one of my favorite locations) for some small-town flair.  Kevin wanted to take them to Lockport underneath a train trestle.  We split the difference and did both!

They came to Gasport for this chilly outdoors session.  We began with the railroad tracks:

And, every time I look at this image, I get a little misty-eyed.  I love their snuggle in the background.  It’s the perfect accompaniment to the sign, “Forever and always, no matter what.”

Am I just emotional, or does it hit you in the gut like it does me?
Because marriage isn’t viewed that way any more.
But it should be.
From the beginning.
Forever and always, no matter what.

My favorite wedding toast goes something like this, “I pray that you will look back on this day as the day you loved each other the least.”

Yes, Matt and Amber, as achingly in love as you are right now, Kevin and I extend that prayer to you.  And let me make this clear right now: that kind of love takes work.  But it’s worth it.  Every time.

May God bless you above all your expectations as you begin your life together.

Jen and Elliott are expecting their first child mid-November.  So, here, she’s about 8 months pregnant.
